This beginner's course introduces students to the practice and principles of yoga. Flexibility is a major part of this course. We will also build strength, increase joint mobility;
incorporating breathing and meditation techniques.
Regular attendance develops and increases flexibility, stamina and fitness.
This class requires no previous experience of yoga, and is suitable for beginners and those returning to practice after a break - don't worry that you may not be flexible or fit enough, I will work with you to ensure your experience is comfortable and fun.
Flow focuses on controlled breathing to enable you to flow smoothly from one pose to the next in a sequence of connected poses - it is also called 'Vinyasa'.

Yin Yoga targets the joints, tendons, ligaments, fascia and bone. Where tissues have good stress applied, the bodies energy is allowed to flow more freely. This is said to be conducive with good health.
As the poses are held for a longer time, the body is given space to relax and stretch.
There's no need to exert any strength - the stretches are passive due to gravitational force. 99% of the poses are performed on the floor; most of them are done seated or lying down.
Yin Yoga combines ancient Traditions of Hatha Yoga,TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Taosim.
Yoga used to be always taught One to One. The student would get the specialist attention that they need.
I offer private classes to individuals or small groups of up to 3 students, either one-off or a course, by arrangement.

How I Teach
My classes include relaxation and restorative poses, breathing techniques, warm-up sequences, balancing, stretching and stamina poses.
For each pose and sequence, I will demonstrate, explain and then instruct. I will give modifications and/or alternative poses for participants with differing levels of fitness and flexibility, and I will work with you to accommodate any particular physical health needs.
